to the CSUF Leadership Institute
CSUF recognizes
the value of developing high quality managers to ensure leadership
success. The ability to adapt to internal and external change
is crucial to an organization’s survival. The CSUF Leadership
Institute will provide identification, acquisition and improvement
of management and leadership skills.
THE LEADERSHIP SERIES: Concentrates on leadership
behaviors and supervisory skills for the CSUF Lead.
NEW MPP
ORIENTATION: This orientation is intended for
both the manager new to the CSUF campus but not new to management,
and a first time manager. In six months they will master management
and leadership topics within the CSUF administrative and campus
environment that will ensure success in their new position.
MPP
CORE COMPETENCIES: Coursework, discussion and resources
designed to deliver the ten core competencies needed by CSUF managers
to effectively meet or exceed the organizational needs and standards
of this university.
Using
on-line resources, classroom coursework, discussion groups, and
information dissemination from key campus constituencies, the
CSUF Leadership institute will provide managers and other key
personnel with the training and education necessary to perform
their jobs. The support for the mission of the university where
learning is preeminent will provide the foundation for our campus
leaders to effectively achieve common CSUF goals.
